Blair Ross is lucky enough to have enjoyed a career on Broadway, regional stages, television, and film for more than four decades.

Born at West Point while her father was an instructor there, she grew up in northern New Jersey and received a degree in art history from Vassar College. While she found this degree edifying, it earned her not a red cent and drove her into the more stable and lucrative world of theatre to earn her crust.

She has played roles as varied as a fading diva (42nd Street), an imperious British aristocrat (Jekyll & Hyde), evil stepmothers (Cinderella and Side Show), a bemused mother to a recalcitrant son (My Fair Lady), a love-struck Southern juror (Exactly Like You), and scores of other characters both hilarious and heartbreaking.

Blair’s five favorite singers are Sam Cooke, Joan Baez, Tom Jones, Leontyne Price, and Elvis. When not acting she’s worked as a painter, writer, singing waitress, and corporate paralegal. Her great loves are books about the Royal Houses of Europe, Burmese cats, Russian history, Duncan Hines box cake, Kurt Weill, her woodland cabin along the Hudson River and, above all, her family, friends, and all the astonishingly gifted and generous people she has met along the way.
